1. These terms
These Terms are the agreement between you and Slopz ("we", "us") for your use of slopz.io and the games we operate from it (the "service"). By using the service you agree to them; if you don't agree, please don't use it. How we handle personal data is explained separately in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy — those are information notices, not something you have to "agree" to.
2. The service
Slopz is a portal of free browser games that we make and host ourselves. The games are free to play, need no download or account, and are paid for by advertising. We may add, change or remove games and features at any time, and we don't promise that any particular game, score, leaderboard or saved progress will stay available.
3. Who can use Slopz
You may use Slopz if you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you need a parent's or guardian's permission, and they accept these Terms on your behalf.
4. Player profiles and leaderboards
Games may create an anonymous player profile for your browser so that scores and progress can be saved, and some games let you link it to a Google account. Your player name and scores are shown publicly on leaderboards. Because the profile lives in your browser, clearing your browser data can permanently lose an unlinked profile and its progress; we can't restore it. Scores, stars and other in-game items have no monetary value and can't be exchanged for anything.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use a player name that is offensive, hateful, sexually explicit, impersonates someone else, or contains anyone's personal information;
- cheat, submit fake scores, exploit bugs, or use bots or other automation to gain an advantage;
- interfere with or overload the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without our permission, or tamper with ad delivery (including generating artificial ad views or clicks);
- copy, scrape, re-host, frame or redistribute the games or site content without our written permission;
- use the service to break the law.
We may rename a profile, remove scores, or block access where these rules are broken.
6. Advertising and in-game rewards
Games show ads served by Google AdSense, including optional "rewarded" ads you can choose to watch in return for an in-game benefit such as continuing a run. Ads are selected and delivered by Google; we don't control or endorse individual ads, and any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and them. A reward may not be granted if an ad doesn't load or isn't watched to the end. See the Privacy Policy for how ad personalisation and your consent work.
7. Intellectual property
The Slopz name and logo, the site, and the games — including their code, graphics and audio — belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the games in your browser for non-commercial purposes. Everything else is reserved: in particular you may not decompile, modify or create derivative works from the games, except where the law gives you a right to that can't be excluded.
8. Third-party services and links
The service relies on third-party providers (such as Google) and may link to sites we don't operate. Those services and sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we aren't responsible for their content or availability.
9. Reporting a problem
To report an offensive player name, content you believe is illegal or infringes your rights, or a security issue, email privacy@slopz.io with enough detail for us to find it (the game, the leaderboard and the name or score concerned). We review reports and act on them without undue delay.
10. Disclaimer
The service is free and provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, scores, progress or in-game items, arising from your use of the service; and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and EUR 50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence — or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service at any time, and can ask us to delete your player profile (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or are putting the service or other players at risk; where that's practical we'll tell you why. We may also discontinue the service entirely.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, and the courts of Serbia have jurisdiction over disputes about them. If you are a consumer, this doesn't deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Please contact us first — most problems can be sorted out by email.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms when the service or the law changes. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and changes apply from then on to your future use of the service. If you don't agree with a change, stop using the service.
15. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a term straight away, that doesn't mean we've given up the right to do so. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else.
